Project Monza
Veermakers furniture brings quiet strength and sculptural elegance to Project Monza — a refined renovation led by Louise Liljencrantz. Set in a historic villa near Milan, the pieces anchor the interiors with their bold simplicity and craftsmanship, enhancing the light, warm, and cohesive atmosphere envisioned for the home.

Project Monza, designed by Louise Liljencrantz involves an extensive renovation of a house in Monza, a charming town near Milan. This prestigious villa, built in 1901, is located on the tree-lined avenue leading to Monza’s iconic Villa Reale. Covering 568 m², it also features a serene, beautifully landscaped garden spanning over 1,500 m². The house, previously divided into four separate apartments, is now being transformed back into a single-family home, with a focus on creating an open and cohesive layout on the ground floor. This approach integrates the living room, dining area, and kitchen into one harmonious space, giving the family a spacious, connected living area.

The design vision centers on creating an elegant, light, and warm atmosphere. Liljencrantz Design has chosen to work with natural and high-quality materials such as walnut, used both in furniture and in custom-built details like doors, shutters, radiator covers, and built-in furnishings. Each element is handcrafted in Sweden and then installed on-site in the house. To enhance the warm ambiance, the walls are covered with linen wallpaper and microcement, while hand-knotted linen and wool rugs, along with textiles in silk and cotton, add the cozy, inviting feel that the client desired.
