What we collect and why

When you apply for a Veermakers Trade Partner Account, we collect the details you provide: your name, email, company, role, phone number, business address, website, and tax-registration identifiers (such as VAT number, company-registration number, resale certificate or other tax ID), plus any message and referral information you add. We use this to assess and administer your trade application and account, provide trade pricing and priority support, and communicate with you about your account.

When you contact us through an inquiry or contact form, we collect your name, email, phone, country and message to respond. When you sign up to our newsletter, or opt in during a trade application, we use your email (and, for trade members, your name and company) to send marketing updates. When you browse the site, we and our partners may collect device and usage information through cookies and similar technologies.

Legal bases

We process trade-application and account data to take steps at your request prior to, and during, a business relationship, and on our legitimate interest in operating the trade programme. We send marketing emails on the basis of your consent (withdrawable at any time) or, where permitted, our legitimate interest in business-to-business marketing. We use non-essential cookies only with your consent.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf under contract: Supabase (account database and authentication, hosted in the EU — Frankfurt); Resend (transactional and account email, United States); Mailchimp (marketing email for subscribers and approved trade members, United States); Formspark (website inquiry-form submissions, United States); Google Analytics and Tag Manager, and the Meta Pixel (website analytics and advertising measurement, United States); and Vercel and DatoCMS (hosting and content management).

International transfers

Some providers are in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is protected by an appropriate safeguard — the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses — as set out in our agreements with each provider. Marketing

We only add you to our marketing audience if you have asked us to, or opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time without affecting your trade account.

How long we keep it

We keep trade-account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and audit obligations. Declined or withdrawn applications are kept only as long as needed to manage the process and prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, then deleted. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and receive a copy of the data you provided in a portable format. To make a request, email info@veermakers.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority; in Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of essential cookies needed for the website and trade account to function. We also use analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and the Meta Pixel) only where you have given consent. You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time.
