Care

Care and longivity

In order to assure longevity, we only use quality materials. Your piece is made from natural materials that will age over time along with their surroundings. We strongly recommend treating it carefully by following our recommended care instructions.

Wood

Remove any dust with a dry cloth. If necessary, dampen the cloth slightly and wipe the surface. In some cases, a gentle cleaning may be needed; if so, use a mild soap diluted with water. Never wipe the surface with ammonia or alkaline detergents that could dissolve or damage it. Wipe off any liquid immediately; left for too long, coffee, wine, and similar liquids can cause permanent stains.

Do not place metal items directly on the furniture. Ideally, do not place the furniture in direct light, as light from strong light sources and sunshine may affect the color and brightness of the wood surface. Vary the location of any items placed on the furniture to avoid permanent color and light changes to the wood surface where no daylight has reached.

Do not place close to heating elements or in premises subject to substantial changes in heat and moisture. As wood is a living material that adapts to the environment, this could cause it to swell, shrink or crack.

Steel and Metals

Black oxidized and CRAFT BLACK steel is intended for indoor use only. For cleaning and maintenance, use a slightly damp cloth, then dry with a clean cloth. Do not use abrasive cloths, solvents, alcohol, or strong detergents. Dry the surface thoroughly to avoid leaving water stains. Protect the surface from moisture and heat. Try to keep the surface out of direct sunlight, as it may cause the color to fade. Steel is a changeable material, so excess heat, cold, and moisture will affect the finish and, over time, could change the appearance of the metal.

An oil kit is available on request to restore your CRAFT BLACK oiled product. We recommend that you restore it once the surface has lost its shine.

Stone

For cleaning and maintenance, only use a cotton cloth dampened with water, then dry with a clean cloth. Do not use abrasive cloths, solvents, alcohol, or strong detergents. Dry the surface thoroughly to avoid leaving water stains. Never wipe the surface with ammonia or alkaline detergents that could dissolve or damage the surface. Wipe off any liquid immediately; left for too long, coffee, wine, and similar liquids can cause permanent stains.

Leather

Remove any dust with a soft dry cloth. Never wipe the surface with liquids, ammonia, or alkaline detergents that could cause stains. Avoid placing the furniture in direct light, as light from strong light sources and sunshine may affect the shade of the leather.
